Thanks, Joy. The feedback has been great and it will keep me going. I have the link to that five minute video you asked about. I can text or email you.
Well in that case, Laura, I'll keep going. It's hard to keep coming up with new ideas. But it seems my world keeps coming up with something. How have you been?
I have seen these musicians fairly recently so your essay really resonated with me. This is so powerful, Ron, you have such ability to cut to the core of so many issues. I am truly inspired by what you write. Your physical abilities, as impressive as they were and are, might not even be your strongest suit. Your voice and insight are mighty.
Thank you for these kind words. I'll keep writing. It should help me get speaking gigs by letting people into what I'm doing. The irony is that I was never a good writer in high school or college. If I were, I probably would have gone to law school. Go figure.
I would have thought you always were expressive as you are now. I know that the ability to communicate as you do is a rare and important attribute, but not as honed at school the way athletics are for example. Sometimes it might just take life's experiences, as traumatic as they might be. So glad you are speaking and writing now.
Ron, do you know the story of Keith Jarrett’s famous Köln concert? That he had to perform on an inferior piano with busted keys that he had to avoid, which drove him to new creative heights in avoiding the obstacles.
I'm very sorry to read about your mom passing. It doesn't matter when it happens, it is always tough. My mom's yahrzeit is coming up. I'm glad my Substack helped in some small way.
Beautiful piece, Ron. I always enjoy, appreciate, and respect your transparency; I also love the frequent musical references. Let's all keep going. Thanks for the inspiration, Ron.
Love what you’re writing about. Thank you!

Really great piece Ronny!! Very moving.
Thanks Di
Great post. And we all get older and need to adapt.
Thank you
We do, although getting hit by a drowsy driver while bicycling and becoming paralyzed brought it home earlier than I ever thought. Shit does happen.
Shit! Sorry to hear that.
“The music doesn’t stop just because the song changes”. Classic Ron! Love that!! I also love reading your Ramblings..don’t stop!

You may be right, Barb. I certainly that wasn’t my MO when I was young.
Beautifully written Ron! So meaningful!!
Thanks Kenny, I hope you have been well. Best

No I don’t. Very interesting. I will look that up
Great story about Jarrett
Thank you Ron. This is exactly what my heart needed to hear today. 💜

Thanks Sheri, I'm trying view the world from my lens and make it relevant to many.
Excellent post! Keep the music going! Keep pushing! Keep living as best as we can.
That's the goal, I'll keep it going. It's a lesson for all I believe. I hope vacation was all you hoped for.
Love this Ron! Keep pushing those walls as we all do
Thanks Beth, that is the plan as long as I can.
